Career

Edna started her legal career in 2003 gaining a wealth of experience in the practice of corporate and intellectual property law, including litigious matters, prior to joining Mayora IP as country manager for El Salvador in 2018.

With over 15 years’ experience in IP, Edna oversees trademark filing and prosecution and portfolio management for a diverse array of international brands, both locally and throughout Latin America. She has significant expertise in clearing brands for use and registration and is heavily involved in administrative litigation such as oppositions and appeals before the El Salvador IP Registry. Her practice also extends to anti-counterfeiting, copyright, and patents.

Edna’s was instrumental in setting up the firm’s Honduras office and she continues to be an important cog in the delivery of the Mayora’s integrated IP service offering across Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras.
