Edgar "Jed" C. Morrison, Jr. has practiced healthcare law for 35 years and is Board Certified in Health Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, specializing in regulatory and transactional matters. Formerly Chairman of the Texas State Bar Health Law Section, he has extensive background in Medicare and Medicaid regulatory and reimbursement issues, antitrust, fraud and abuse, physician referral legislation, and managed care issues. He assists clients with strategic planning, to position themselves for future healthcare initiatives. Mr. Morrison represents physician groups, hospitals and health systems, nursing homes, equipment suppliers, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers.
Mr. Morrison is licensed to practice in Oklahoma, Virginia, and Texas, and admitted to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court; the U.S. Court of Federal Claims; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal, Fifth, and Eleventh Circuits; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit; and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. He is a former member of the Texas State Bar Health Law Council, and Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
