Doug has an extensive corporate practice, advising on capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings and other equity and debt offerings, and merger and acquisition transactions.

Doug has been consistently ranked as one of the top 10 lawyers in the country in representing issuers in connection with their IPOs. As a result, Doug has developed a robust practice representing private equity backed companies seeking an exit either through the public markets or through complex sale transactions. Additionally, Doug has considerable experience in assisting public companies in connection with capital markets and merger and acquisition transactions. He has particular experience with clients engaged in the energy industry, including oil and gas exploration and production, midstream, oilfield service, oilfield equipment manufacturing and supply and seismic companies.

Doug is head of V&E’s Equity Capital Markets Group.

Admitted to practice: Texas, 1995. Joined V&E in 1995; admitted to the partnership in January 2004.
