DGKV has one of the oldest and best recognized competition practices among Bulgarian law firms dating back to the adoption of the first Law on Protection of Competition in 1998. DGKV has developed a strong competition practice and has made a significant contribution to the development of laws and practices of the Bulgarian competition regulator – Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC);

Dessislava Iordanova is a Senior Associate at DGKV and one of the lawyers in the firm’s Competition & Antitrust and Intellectual Property practices.

Dessislava represents clients in Bulgarian courts and before Bulgaria’s Commission for Protection of Competition, Patent Office, Consumers Protection Commission, and pharmaceuticals-regulatory authority in antitrust proceedings; unfair-competition, trademark, and industrial-designs cases; consumer disputes; and regulatory matters. Prior to joining DGKV, she spent ten years as head of a unit at the Commission for Protection of Competition and eight years as a senior lawyer at two other well-known law firms.

She is a member of the Sofia Bar, a registered industrial-property attorney at the Bulgarian Patent Office, and on the European Union’s Intellectual Property Office’s list of professional representatives in trademark and design matters.
