Dennitsa Dimitrova has over 13 years of experience in international taxation. Before leading Kambourov & Partners, she held roles in the tax and legal teams at Deloitte (2016-2019), KPMG (2009-2016) and TMF (2006-2009), where she managed VAT compliance portfolios, conducted tax audits, and successfully negotiated tax dispute resolutions.

Since 2016, Dennitsa has expanded her expertise to include excise and customs compliance services. She was also part of the legal team in the Bulgarian CJEU Case C-124/12 – AES-3C Maritza East 1, concerning the interpretation of Directive 2006/112/EC (Articles 168(a) and 176) on the right to deduction.

In addition to her extensive experience in VAT and tax dispute resolution, Dennitsa played a key role in the development of VAT compliance software that converts ERP/accounting system data into VAT returns.

Specialising in the taxation of the energy and commodity sectors, Dennitsa has recently focused on providing consultancy for offshore oil and gas drilling campaigns in Bulgaria's Exclusive Economic Zone in the Black Sea.
