Denise Wong is based in Walkers' Hong Kong office and is a partner in the firm's Global Investment Funds and Corporate Groups. She has a broad investment funds practice specialising in both private equity and hedge funds.

She has extensive experience advising private equity and hedge fund sponsors on the structuring and formation of funds and co-investment and alternative investment vehicles and the completion of transactions undertaken by them.

Her practice also encompasses advising on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, initial public offerings as well as general corporate matters. Denise leads regular seminars in relation to the legal issues affecting investment fund formation and Cayman corporate and transactional matters.

Career

Denise trained as a solicitor with Herbert Smith in Hong Kong where she remained after qualification and specialised in corporate matters. She acted for investment banks and corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions and general corporate matters.
