Dawn Meyers

Practice Areas

As the manager of Berger Singerman’s Government and Regulatory Team, Dawn concentrates her practice on environmental and land use law, government contracting and regulation. Dawn’s primary focus has been the rehabilitation and redevelopment of environmentally impacted properties such as golf courses, old manufacturing sites, gas stations, and landfills. Her regulatory experience has included representation of clients in a variety of diverse industries including aviation, port and marine, manufacturers, solid waste disposal, venue management, land developers, construction, hotels, and restaurants. Dawn routinely represents clients before municipal, county, state and federal agencies and governing bodies. She also served as General Counsel to the Boca Raton Airport Authority, a special independent district, for more than a decade where she focused on matters such as ground leases, facility expansion, grant procurement and compliance, property acquisition, and development of public buildings, as well as capital projects, strategic planning, governance and policy development, procurement, code development and enforcement, and other matters relating to operating within a changing regulatory environment. Additionally, Dawn puts her experience as a former Chief Hearing Officer at Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation to use in her representation of clients on a range of permitting, licensing and enforcement issues.
