Michael Niles is a partner on Berger Singerman’s Business Reorganization Team and Business, Finance & Tax Team in its Tallahassee office. Mike focuses his practice on commercial bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters, bankruptcy litigation, and commercial real estate transactions.
Mike’s practice is primarily devoted to a wide range of insolvency matters, including representation of corporate and consumer clients in complex workouts, bankruptcies, assignment for the benefit of creditors and receiverships. He is an experienced practitioner representing debtors, creditors’ committees, Chapter 7 trustees, and fiduciaries in fraud-related cases where he advocates for victims of Ponzi schemes and financial frauds. In addition, his practice encompasses both the prosecution and defense of all forms of complex bankruptcy litigation, including preference, fraudulent transfers, and complex contested matters. Additionally, Mike’s practice extends to assisting property owners, developers, and lenders in commercial real estate, including the acquisition, sale, leasing, and development of real property.
