David acts as lead counsel to a broad array of clients in high-stakes and complex IP litigation, with a particular focus on patent litigation. David often represents innovative pharmaceutical companies in patent infringement actions, PM(NOC) actions, and Section 8 damages cases. David’s practice extends into the technology sector, with prominent clients in Fintech, health-related tech and agriculture. David represents clients before the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Ontario Court. Recent cases include successfully representing Merck in multiple patent actions in relation to a proposed generic version of JANUVIA(R), and representing Bristol-Myers Squibb in patent actions involving the medicine ELIQUIS(R).
