David J. Fernandez primarily advises financial institutions that provide both corporate and municipal trust services across a broad range of asset classes and roles in both primary and secondary markets. These needs span the full transaction lifecycle — from initial deal documentation through post-closing administration, regulatory compliance, risk management and controls, investor communications, litigation, defaults, workouts and restructurings, terminations, successorships, investigations, and insolvency matters. Dave brings the experience and multidisciplinary depth needed to serve as a true partner, managing these matters thoughtfully, strategically, and holistically at every stage.

Before entering private practice, Dave served as both counsel in the New York State Assembly and Assistant General Counsel for the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, one of the nation's leading issuers of tax-exempt debt.
