David E De Lorenzi

Practice Areas

Mr. De Lorenzi is Chair of Gibbons Intellectual Property Group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He has over 30 years of trial court experience before federal courts nationwide and the International Trade Commission in all fields of intellectual property law spanning a variety of technologies. Roughly one-third of Mr. De Lorenzi’s practice focuses on counseling clients on their strategic intellectual property development, acquisition, divestiture and enforcement needs, and negotiating intellectual property transactions that accomplish those business goals. His representative clients are in the life sciences, telecommunications and consumer products industries.

In addition to Chambers USA, Mr. De Lorenzi is listed in the intellectual property categories of New Jersey Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers® and has been selected as a leading IP practitioner in IAM Patent 1000 and IAM Global Leaders. He is a member of the New Jersey Intellectual Property Association, American Trial Lawyers, American Bar Association (Intellectual Property Section), American Intellectual Property Law Association, and played an instrumental role in the development of the Gibbons Institute of Law, Science & Technology at the Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey.
