Dan Edmondstone is a partner in the marketing and competition groups. His practice covers marketing, advertising and other competition matters, as well as consumer law issues. He represents clients before the Advertising Dispute panels of Advertising Standards Canada as well as in Competition Act matters. Dan has spoken and written extensively on marketing and advertising issues. He is the chair of the Ontario Bar Association Consumer Law Committee and has previously served as the chair of the Marketing Practices Committee of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Competition Law Section. Dan is a member of the ABA, Antitrust Law section. Dan is experienced in merger review and Investment Canada Act reviews across a variety of industries. Dan is the author of McMillan’s Consumer Protection Act (Ontario) (Thomson Reuters) and co-author of Canadian Advertising and Marketing Law (Carswell) as well as “Misleading Advertising and Marketing Practices”, Fundamentals of Canadian Competition Law (4th ed.) (Thomson Reuters).
