Chad Doobay arranges the financing that state and local governments and nonprofit organizations rely on for projects that benefit the public good. He represents a broad range of clients, including issuers, underwriters, borrowers and banks. He also advises hospitals and other vital community institutions throughout the United States on disclosure obligations, corporate approvals and deal structuring.
Chad has broad experience in both tax-exempt and taxable financings, including public offerings, direct purchases and private placements. He advises clients on financings involving a variety of structures, including fixed and variable rate, letter of credit, bond insurance and certificates of participation. He has also assisted clients in the bond financing mechanics relating to affiliation agreements, energy savings contracts and forward-delivery agreements.
In all client matters, Chad takes a highly collaborative approach. He can understand different perspectives because, at various points, he has played every role in the financings he handles. Having counseled issuers, borrowers, underwriters and banks, he has insight into the issues that matter to each side.
Chad is dedicated to helping institutions that support healthy communities. In addition to hospitals, he advises schools, universities, continuing care retirement communities, museums, cultural institutions and transportation agencies throughout the United States on disclosure and other obligations in connection with financings.
