Geoff AuYeung negotiates and structures loans for leading lenders in middle-market financing. Working with a number of leading players in the space keeps Geoff well informed about market trends. He leverages that knowledge to provide practical, data-driven business advice.

Clients benefit not only from Geoff's knowledge of the lending business, but also from his relationships with borrowers' attorneys. He frequently represents banks that provide financing to private equity sponsors, particularly in the health care and insurance sectors. Geoff regularly encounters the same sponsor counsel across the table and has come to understand their needs, wants and pressure points in loan negotiation. This helps him reach deals that satisfy all parties.

Those relationships served him well, for example, when he handled four deals in one year for a lender client with the same private equity sponsor. On the borrower side, he has also represented private equity and public companies.

As a registered representative in the Shanghai office, Geoff helps US companies expanding to China with corporate and financing matters and multinational transactions. He also assists Chinese companies building operations in the United States. Geoff is fluent in Mandarin.
