Gidon was co-lead counsel to a Fortune 50 company defending an appraisal action, which resulted in a precedent-setting Delaware Supreme Court opinion on whether the deal price of a transaction is the fair price for purposes of appraisal. He represented the original Japanese investor and Wynn Resorts Board member in his fight with Steve Wynn for control of the company. Gidon is a member of several D&O insurance panels.

Gidon began his legal career clerking for the Honorable Michael B. Mukasey of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. While in law school, he served as a notes and comments editor for the Journal of International Law & Politics.
