A member of Chambers since 1981, Caroline has long been recognised as highly skilled and successful practitioner with very wide experience. Appointed a Recorder in 2003, she sits regularly in public law, private law and financial remedy on the Western Circuit. Also available for private FDR hearings and mediation.
Specialisations:
high net worth and complex financial remedy cases, including inheritance, trusts, and company issues, also Schedule 1 work. She is able to manage the interface with children work so as to provide a full service on family breakdown. Also legal negligence for parties and insurers;
all aspects of cases involving children, including international and domestic relocation, abduction [Australia, Europe, Canada, Brazil, USA, Japan, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan and other countries to date] and complex child arrangements, involving conduct issues, abuse, expert instruction and analysis, and parental alienation;
a few public law cases each year of particular interest. She frequently sits as a Recorder in public law and finds this judicial experience to be very helpful in dealing with these difficult cases as an advocate.
Practices in Gibraltar and travels to the province to appear before the Supreme Court in Gibraltar in both Private Law Children and Financial Remedy cases.

Has a passion for her ancient home on Exmoor. Member of British Eventing and enthusiastic owner of international event horses, travelling the circuit at home and overseas.
