Brandon is a trusted advisor to energy, infrastructure, and industrial clients navigating complex environmental and natural resources challenges — from initial project permitting through enforcement defense and environmental litigation. He has guided the development of billions of dollars in projects across numerous sectors, including upstream and midstream oil and gas, LNG import and export, onshore and offshore wind, solar, geothermal, critical minerals mining on land and in the deep sea, marine terminals, transportation infrastructure, and commercial and residential development.

Brandon helps clients secure permits and authorizations from agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), working across statutes including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act (ESA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), and other federal and state natural resource laws. When those permits are challenged, he defends them — having successfully defeated NEPA, Clean Water Act, and ESA challenges in administrative proceedings, federal district courts, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals.

Before law school, Brandon spent nearly a decade in natural resource planning for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation in the Department of the Interior, where he authored NEPA and ESA documents for hydropower and irrigation projects and served as an interagency coordinator for four federal agencies in ESA litigation over endangered salmon in the Columbia and Snake River systems.

Brandon is also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and has been a nationally certified sign language interpreter for over twenty-five years — a commitment that reflects his dedication to communication, accessibility, and community engagement.
