Career

Barrett Chapman graduated from University College Cork (BCL) in 1994 and University of Southern Queensland and qualified in 1998 in Ireland. He joined McCann FitzGerald LLP in 2001 and became a Partner within the firm in 2006. Barrett practises in all areas of construction law including advising developers, contractors, consultants and funders on a wide variety of construction related issues, both contentious and non-contentious. In addition, Barrett has developed particular expertise in the areas of professional indemnity insurance, dispute resolution and health and safety. Barrett has lectured on construction law at Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland, the Construction Industry Federation and Engineers’ Ireland.
