Dr. Ayman is a Partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department. He has over 30 years of experience and represents a broad portfolio of clients. His focus is on civil law, Arbitration Law, Shariah and white collar crimes. His principal areas of expertise are commercial and construction disputes, professional negligence, director’s liability, defending banks, acting on behalf of foreign principals in principal/agency disputes, insolvency, financial restructuring and re-organisation through court supervised proceedings. Recent achievements include nullification of Arbitration award made against an Omani public entity in the amount of approx. USD 24 million. Furthermore, he won a case for National Bank of Oman for an amount of approx. USD 40 million.
Since joining AMJ, Dr. Ayman has been involved in a number of high-profile matters, including several construction and engineering arbitrations, defending a share-price fixing prosecution, a number of bribery prosecutions, and advising a leading bank on a complex multi-million dollar cross-border fraud.
