Career

Anthony Johnson specialises in high value and complex personal injury and clinical negligence litigation, acting predominantly for Claimants.

He has particular expertise in claims involving chronic pain, brain injuries and fatal accidents, although he is regularly instructed across the full spectrum of injuries that arise in this field. He has significant experience of brokering six- and seven-figure settlements at levels that were highly favourable to the clients in question.

He is very experienced in handling cases under Conditional Fee Arrangements and has a reputation for successfully resolving challenging, borderline cases (whether by negotiated settlement or at trial). His recent trial experience includes issues of employers’ liability, occupier’s liability, public liability and sports law, and he is regularly instructed in appellate litigation.

Anthony is an enthusiastic exponent of the benefits of Alternative Dispute Resolution. He is accredited as a Mediator and has extensive experience of acting for clients in different ADR settings, with a high degree of success.
