Anita leads both the Environmental Protection and Mining Law teams at SSW. She represents clients in proceedings before administrative authorities and courts, and during legislative reforms. She advises on obtaining environmental decisions, as well as integrated, water and emission permits.
Anita gained experience at the Ministry of the Climate and Environment where she was responsible for the legislative procedure concerning an amendment of the Geological and Mining Law regarding hydrocarbons.
Work Highlights
◾️ Leading the merger of PGNiG, the biggest Polish oil & gas company, with PKN Orlen, an energy multi-concern; it was strategic and significant transaction for the entire Polish energy market
◾️ Day-to-day support for Alba on their core operations in the waste sector, on Circular Economy and DPR systems, and providing guidance on duties associated with the collection and further management of municipal waste
◾️ Advising Baltic Power on administrative and environmental aspects of the construction of offshore wind farms (permits necessary for the investment)
◾️ Advising on the legislative process concerning the amendment of the Geological and Mining Law in respect of hydrocarbons, amendment of the Waste Act in relation to the requirement for thermal waste treatment plants
