Career

Almudena is an expert in Compliance and antibribery issues. She has advised companies from a wide range of sectors on compliance programs and management systems. Almudena provides regular advice to local and international groups on compliance matters. She has a significant experience on criminal risk assessment and the design and implementation of Compliance Management Systems, according to the most up-to-date requirements and most relevant national and international standards. Almudena also participates in the analysis and implementation of the controls and policies necessary to comply with current legislation on criminal and anti-corruption prevention.

Almudena studied the double degree in Business Administration & Law at Pompeu’s Fabra University and a LLM in Criminal Law & Criminal Science at the University of Barcelona . After completing the Postgraduate Program in Compliance at UPF Barcelona School of Management, Almudena joined the Legal Compliance team of KPMG Abogados in 2018. Currently, Almudena is senior associate of Legal Compliance department.

Almudena is also a frequent lecturer on compliance topics in several universities in Spain and Spanish speaking countries and has taught some conferences in specialized forums in Spain and LATAM. She collaborates regularly writing articles in specialized law publications.
