Career

Ali is a Partner in our medical negligence team and has a proven track record in acting in claims for medical negligence. She holds Senior Litigator status, accorded by APIL, acknowledging her significant expertise in the specialism.

Ali has expertise in a wide range of medical negligence claims but has a particular interest in the following areas:

- inquests and coronial law, including medical inquests, as well as deaths in prison, police custody and mental health detention

- fatal claims

- birth injuries, including Erb’s palsy and cerebral palsy

- maternal injuries

- psychiatric injury, including secondary victim claims

- orthopaedic injuries including knee replacement surgeries, hip dysplasia, amputations and podiatric negligence.

In 2014, Ali won the Bath Solicitor of the Year at the prestigious Bristol Law Society Awards. The award recognised her as “an exceptional solicitor who has made an outstanding contribution to their firm, client work or the legal sector in Bath”.

In the legal directory Chambers & Partners, Ali is noted as “a rising star who is highly intelligent and handles an impressive caseload with aplomb.”

She has previously worked with local and national media, commenting on topical issues and cases in which she was involved.
