Elizabeth (known as Lizzy) is a Senior Associate in the construction and engineering team. Lizzy advises clients across the entire supply chain to deliver construction and engineering projects, such as employers/developers, funders, contractors/consultants and specialist sub-contractors/consultants. Lizzy is always enthusiastic to hear about upcoming projects, innovative practices and the inspiring individuals who make up the industry.
Lizzy advises her clients across the entire life cycle of a construction and engineering projects. Lizzy provides strategic advice at the outset of a project, relating to procurement issues and risk management (including the benefits of obtaining construction security, such as collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees). Throughout the pre-construction stage, Lizzy prepares and negotiates both industry standard and bespoke forms of contract/appointments etc. Lizzy has particular experience advising on the risks associated with using the JCT and NEC suites of contract. During the construction period and post-delivery of a project, Lizzy advises clients on construction and engineering disputes, and most importantly, how to achieve pragmatic and commercial resolutions.
Lizzy also works cohesively with her property colleagues to deliver development and lease transaction (etc) for mutual clients.
