Experience
Alejandro Santoyo joined the firm as a partner in 2024.
With more than 30 years of experience, he is recognized as one of the leading tax advisors in the market, particularly in the financial sector. He has been involved in multiple M&A transactions as well as in the structuring, investment, and divestment of various private equity funds. He has also played an active role in initial public offerings (IPOs) of different asset classes in Mexico and abroad, and advises Mexican families on wealth planning matters.
He is a member of the Tax Committee of the Mexican Association of Brokerage Firms (AMIB) and of the Tax Committee of the Mexican Private Equity Association (AMEXCAP). Prior to joining Ritch Mueller, he served for five years as Head of Tax for Latin America at JPMorgan.
Relevant Experience
- Participated in the issuance of the only two SPACs in the Mexican market, as well as their respective initial investments.
- Represented Apollo Global Management in the DIP financing for Aeromexico.
- Represented BlackRock in the acquisition of the Los Ramones gas pipeline.
- Represented Innovasport in the acquisition of a sporting goods retail chain with presence in several countries in the Andean region.
- Represented FIFA in establishing its operations in Mexico for the organization of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
- Represented several foreign brokerage firms in the NYSE listing of ADSs by Corporación Inmobiliaria Vesta.
