Alejandro specializes in tax advisory for M&A, capital markets, structured finance, estate planning and private equity. Advises large multinational, banks, global private equity investors and sponsors across multiple industries.

Experience
Alejandro was invited as partner of Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, S.C. in 2014 and previously worked as tax partner of Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa y Cía., S.C. for more than 10 years. During the years of 1997 and 2002 he worked for J.P. Morgan as tax vice president with responsibilities in Mexico and other offices in Latin America.
Work Highlights
Mr. Santoyo regularly advises large multinational banks and global private equity investors and sponsors on acquisitions and investments in Mexico across multiple industries. Most notably, Alejandro advised in 2023 a group of international banks on the ADSs initial public offering in the NYSE by Corporación Inmobiliaria Vesta, raising around USD$445 million.
Currently represents the Football International Federation Association (FIFA) in all legal matters related to the organization of the World Cup to be held in Mexico, the United States and Canada in 2026.
He also recently advised Innova Sport, a leading distributor of sports footwear and equipment in Mexico, in the implementation of its international expansion plan, through its investment in Masplay, a leader in this sector in the Andean region with a presence in Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Chile.
