Well known for his creative legal work and ground game in the insurance and sports industries, Adam has a proven track record of winning tough bet-the-company cases. Adam focuses on the preparation and trial of complex commercial cases, principally in class actions, insurance, sports, commercial litigation, and arbitration.
Adam has more than 30 years’ experience representing insurance companies in complex litigations and arbitrations throughout the country. He has a proven track record of defeating class certification using novel techniques. He has tried insurance cases to verdict and has argued groundbreaking insurance issues before multiple state supreme courts. He served as national coordinating counsel to a major carrier defending nationwide COVID-19 business interruption claims, securing victories in a multidistrict litigation, numerous state trial and appellate courts, and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He has represented major carriers in numerous high-stakes PFAS and other contamination coverage disputes. He has also litigated numerous complex class actions involving warranty and privacy claims brought against insurance companies.
Because of his out-of-the-box thinking, Adam is often called upon to litigate unusual cases, such as those involving the counterfeiting of insurance policies, RICO and similar actions against insurance companies, disputes involving Cayman entities, and alter ego claims in the insurance holding company structure.
