Antitrust/Competition & Consumer Protection: Industry leaders regularly engage the firm for matters related to US and international laws governing competition, pricing, distribution, advertising, and IP.


Appellate & Supreme Court: Broad experience in federal and state law including administrative, antitrust, banking, bankruptcy, constitutional law, criminal law, employment, environmental, healthcare, IP, product liability, and telecommunications.


Attorney Liability: Long history of defending attorneys in civil lawsuits and disciplinary proceedings.


Bankruptcy: Represents secured and unsecured creditors, parties dealing with distressed businesses, investors and asset purchasers, committees, debtors, and equity holders.

Consumer Products Safety: Assists clients in addressing and complying with applicable safety standards and related requirements throughout a product’s life cycle.


Corporate & Securities: Experience in M&A, private equity and corporate control matters. Represents issuers, underwriters, and security holders in a full range of public and private offerings of debt and equity securities.


Employment: Assists clients nationwide with high stakes litigation, counseling and corporate/transactional employment matters.


Environmental: Represents corporations, developers, utilities, and public agencies in a wide range of environmental regulatory matters including litigation.


FDA & Healthcare: Advises pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and healthcare entities on regulation including fraud and abuse, pricing and contracting, coverage, and reimbursement.


Financial Services: Handles legal, business, and regulatory issues encountered by financial institutions, including growth and expansion, regulatory, financial products and services, capital markets and corporate governance.


Government Contracts: Advises companies conducting business with government agencies on white-collar crime, compliance programs, litigation, corporate transactions, privatization, outsourcing, policy, and legislation.


Intellectual Property: Handles acquisition, protection, exploitation, and enforcement of IP rights relating to computer and information technology, internet, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.


International Arbitration: Long-standing ties to Latin America. Has advised on international arbitration projects for the US and international clients. Serves as advisers, advocates and arbitrators in the economic disputes between sovereign governments, and private investors.


International Trade: Represents domestic and foreign corporations, institutions and individuals in virtually all aspects of international trade.


Life Sciences/Biotech: Attuned to the current state of play and future of genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, biochips, pharmacogenetics and other current technological developments.


Litigation: A major practice with more than half of its US lawyers involved. Product liability, antitrust and securities are traditional areas of strength. Work includes civil, criminal, regulatory, commercial, national, and international matters.


National Security Law & Policy: Offers sophisticated guidance on national homeland security decision-making process and in dealings with the US Dept. of State, the US Dept. of Defense, other national security agencies, and the US Congress.

Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Data Strategy: Helps clients create risk-mitigated privacy and cyber programs and data strategies for innovative data products, services, and uses across a wide range of industries.


Private Client Services: Counsels clients on estate planning, tax, real estate, family disputes, business organization and succession planning.


Product Liability: Defends large and complex mass tort matters, acting both as national and trial counsel in cases asserting personal injury and property damage claims.


Real Estate: Structures deals for owners and developers involving the acquisition, development, construction, financing, leasing, management and sale of office buildings, shopping centers, industrial sites, multifamily projects, hotels, and resorts.


Regulatory: More than 80 attorneys who have held senior positions in US and European governments and international organizations and advise on regulatory solutions to the litigation and transactional options open to the firm’s clients.


Securities Enforcement & Litigation: Represents clients in SEC investigations, class action securities litigation, shareholder derivative litigation, accounting irregularities, breach of fiduciary duty and criminal investigations by federal and state prosecutors.


Tax: Advises on all major areas of corporate, partnership, employment, individual, trusts and estates and gift tax law.


Telecommunications: Provides international regulatory, administrative, litigation and legislative advice to corporations, government entities, and individuals.


White-Collar Criminal Defense: Represents individuals and corporations in grand jury and enforcement proceedings, criminal trials and internal investigations.
