Yannis is Head of the Energy & Environment and Joint Head of the Projects & Privatisations departments. He has a wide-ranging transactional practice which
encompasses complex privatisations, public and private project developments and mergers and acquisitions, with an expertise in the infrastructure, energy, finance, utilities, telecommunications and transport sectors. Yannis is highly experienced in Privatisations. As Special Secretary for Privatisations at the Ministry of Finance, he managed the sale of numerous State owned companies. Since joining the Firm, he has been involved in high profile privatisations of grid operators, motorways, ports, airports and railways.
Yannis is an expert in energy law, advising on the structuring, development, financing and implementation of transactions and projects in the conventional and renewable energy sectors. He also advises privately and State owned entities and consortiums on project financings and PPPs.
Recently, he advised Vodafone on the installation of submarine telecommunication equipment for the interconnection of islands and Gastrade on the development of the FSRU in Alexandroupolis, and is currently advising bidders participating in privatisation tenders including for DEPA Infrastructure, DEPA Commercial and Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator.
