Work Highlights
Dimitris' recent experience includes successfully representing a major oil company before the Athens Administrative Court of Appeals in its appeal against the Hellenic Competition Commission’s (HCC) decision relating to its alleged collusion with a company operating in the same sector to fix ratios of discounts offered to petrol station owners on wholesale prices of unleaded petrol, and enforcement proceedings initiated by the HCC and Tax authorities; advising the Hellenic Republic in the renewal of the concession agreement with the Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company (EYDAP SA), a company listed on the Athens Exchange and the award of the financing, operation and maintenance of the Athens Water Providing System for 20 years through a Public Private Partnership.
Industry Sector Expertise
Dimitris advises on tender proceedings, including concession and PPP projects and represents clients in claims arising from the award of public tenders, proceedings for the annulment of central and local government acts or decisions and retraction of fines and penalties imposed by public authorities. He also advises in competition disputes, including in the context of concerted practices and merger and acquisition clearances. Dimitris has acted in numerous privatisations, and has notable experience in the restructuring of state-owned companies with a view to their sale or listing on the Athens Exchange.
