Career
Guan Xuanyun, female, born in May 1961, is a member of the Communist Party of China and holds a postgraduate degree. She serves as the Chairperson of the Partnership Meeting and is a lawyer at Guangdong Lawsons Law Offic. With over forty years of legal practice, Lawyer Guan has handled a wide variety of cases and has achieved fruitful results in civil, commercial, and criminal litigation.

(1) In 2025, represented a Hong Kong company in a second-instance case concerning a Hong Kong-related equity transfer dispute, with a disputed amount exceeding RMB 1 billion. Despite the first-instance judgment ordering the Hong Kong company to pay over RMB 500 million in liquidated damages, the second-instance court successfully overturned the judgment in its entirety, exempting the Hong Kong company from liability and thereby setting aside over RMB 500 million in damages.
(2) In 2025, handled a construction project contract dispute for a large state-owned construction enterprise consistently ranked among the "Top 10 Construction Enterprises in China." The project was originally planned to be among the world’s top ten super-tall buildings. Successfully recovered RMB 380 million in losses for the state-owned enterprise.
(3) In 2023, represented a province’s largest comprehensive real estate development group in filing an administrative lawsuit against a certain land resources planning bureau, successfully recovering RMB 740 million in land transfer fees. The case was awarded the "Outstanding Case" of the year by the internationally renowned commercial transactions and dispute resolution project rating agency LegalOne, receiving an "Exemplary" honor rating.
(4) In 2023, handled the enforcement stage of a cooperative real estate development contract dispute for a Hong Kong company, successfully recovered millions in payments, and facilitated an enforcement settlement agreement through multiple rounds of professional negotiations, effectively resolving the cross-border commercial dispute.
(5) In 2023, represented a Hong Kong company in a second-instance case concerning a Hong Kong-related joint venture real estate development contract dispute. The Guangdong Provincial High People’s Court dismissed the counterparty’s appeal, firmly safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the enterprise.
(6) In 2023, represented a Guangzhou village collective economic union in a lease contract dispute and achieved a favorable judgment. The case involved a contract covering 50 acres of land and was initiated by a well-established real estate enterprise seeking RMB 85 million from the village collective. The outcome directly impacted rural interests and stability, making a significant contribution to preventing the loss of collective property.
(7) Since 2022, has been handling a series of real estate disputes for a state-owned real estate enterprise in Guangzhou, involving over 100 cases with a total disputed amount exceeding RMB 1 billion. The cases involve complex legal relationships among multiple companies and a large number of homebuyers. Under significant social stability maintenance pressure, successfully secured favorable judgments in nearly 100 cases for the client, recovering RMB 559 million in assets.
(8) In 2019, handled a lease contract dispute for a company. By verifying the site usage conditions, successfully dismissed all claims of the counterparty. Enabled the client to regain management rights over a site valued at RMB 60 million in construction funds and exempted it from the obligation to return nearly RMB 40 million in rent. This high-stakes and complex case achieved favorable social impact and received the "Professional Achievement Award" from the Guangzhou Lawyers Association.
(9) In 2019, represented Mr. Lu in a property ownership dispute against Mr. Wu. The case was complex, involving first-instance, second-instance, retrial, and multiple related administrative proceedings. By clarifying the change in land nature and proving that the client had paid consideration for the land use rights, successfully established Mr. Lu’s ownership of the property rights. Ultimately secured nearly RMB 20 million in housing demolition compensation for the client.
