Waël Rostom is co-Chair of the Firm's Restructuring and Insolvency Group. Waël's practice focuses on all matters relating to corporate insolvencies including workouts, court-supervised restructurings, bankruptcies, receiverships, purchase & sale of distressed businesses, lending transactions, DIP financing and other forms of distressed investing. Over the years, Waël has represented a broad range of numerous high profile domestic and cross-border insolvency and restructuring proceedings. Clients have included publically traded companies, directors and officers, shareholders, banks, financial institutions, hedge funds, private equity funds, asset based lenders, customers and suppliers. Waël has also advised privately appointed and court appointed receivers, trustees in bankruptcy and court appointed monitors. Waël currently acts for the DIP lender and purchaser in Green Growth Brands, represents iAnthus Holdings in respect of its plan of arrangement under the British Columbia Business Corporations Act, and represented Royal Bank of Canada as Agent to the 1st Lien Lenders to Cirque Du Soleil.
