Candy’s deep expertise in the Canadian P3 market stems from over 30 years of experience in P3, infrastructure and project finance transactions both as senior in-house counsel for a major private sector P3 participant and as a private practice lawyer. Candy understands how P3 transactions can drive business decisions, which knowledge brings a unique and informed commercial approach to her role as legal counsel. The breadth of her experience allows her to service her clients beyond closing project transactions and is often sought out for her expertise in structuring mergers and acquisition transactions involving equity sponsors on P3 projects. In addition to her legal advisory services, Candy has co-taught “The Law and Policy of Public Private Partnerships” as an adjunct professor at U of T Law Schools GPLLM program from 2015 to 2018.
