Valentyn Gvozdiy

One of GOLAW’s most senior advocates for contentious and crisis matters, his practice covers criminal and white-collar defence, including anti-corruption proceedings, litigation, tax and customs controversy, insolvency and corporate recovery, corporate governance, compliance and risk management, government relations, restructuring, claims and recoveries, and private-client advisory. He acts for business owners, executives and board members of Ukrainian and multinational companies at all stages of criminal and regulatory proceedings, combining advocacy with preventive compliance advice. Sector experience spans energy, agribusiness, aviation, chemicals, construction, financial institutions, IT/AI, manufacturing, media, healthcare, retail and transport.

He chaired the Supervisory Board of PJSC Ukrhydroenergo, Ukraine’s largest hydropower generator (2019-2026), co-drafted the Council of Europe Convention for the Protection of the Profession of Lawyer (2025), and is Vice President of the UNBA.
