Thiago has been practicing tax law for over 15 years, advising companies on the resolution of a variety of issues, mostly in the advisory area. He co-leads the firm’s Tax practice and is particularly experienced in tax planning at both domestic and international levels, tax advisory in corporate and M&A transactions, family and estate planning, structuring of foreign investments in Brazil and Brazilian investments overseas.

He has a distinguished international education and experience in Minas Gerais, especially for his previous work abroad for EY (London and Amsterdam offices) and Loyens & Loeff.

Thiago represents clients from several sectors, such as life sciences, healthcare, mining, energy, real estate, technology, startups, construction, education, and commercial and professional services.

He is also a professor of tax law and tax planning at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais and IBMEC.
