Terri focuses her practice on regulatory compliance, operational issues and strategic planning. She has extensive experience investigating and responding to allegations of fraud and abuse, counseling regarding Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment, billing and audits, defending providers in licensure and EMTALA enforcement actions, defending nursing homes in survey matters, and counseling providers on HIPAA requirements and enforcement actions. She advises clients regarding certificate of need compliance and litigates certificate of need appeals. She regularly provides guidance on operational challenges, policy development, risk management and contracting.
Terri was Partner in Charge of the Greensboro office of Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP, which combined with Fox Rothschild in 2018.
