Career

Talya Solomon heads the Antitrust and Competition department at Herzog Fox & Neeman with more than 25 years of extensive experience in antitrust and competition law matters, including civil, administrative and criminal aspects.

As a former team leader in the Israel Competition Authority's (ICA) legal department, Talya has a unique and intimate understanding of the regulator's mechanisms which she utilizes when representing clients before the ICA, the Israeli Commissioner and the Competition Tribunal. Talya also has a stellar track-record in managing antitrust litigation cases, including antitrust class actions. In addition, Talya handles highly complex economic antitrust issues regarding company mergers, monopolies, abuse of dominant position cases, cartels and restraints of trade; as well as regularly represents large entities, both international and domestic, acting in various markets and sectors.

Talya joined Herzog Fox & Neeman almost a decade ago, after 10 years as partner and co-head of the Antitrust and Competition Department in another prominent Israeli firm. Prior to that, Talya worked for over 5 years at ICA where she was responsible for the banking, finance, insurance and credit card sectors.

In addition, Talya is conversant in the relatively new Israeli legislation that aims to enhance competition, especially in the food sector ('Law for Enhancement of Competition in the Israeli Food Sector’ and the 'Business Concentration Law'), advising major players across many sectors on this matter; and possesses extensive experience in antidumping matters across various industries.

Talya is consistently recognized as a leading practitioner in her fields of expertise by the leading international global legal guides, such Chambers Global Guide, Legal 500 and Who's Who Legal. She was also selected to appear in the 6th edition of GCR Women in Antitrust.
