Practice Areas

Susan Fader's practice is focused on complex, commercial litigation matters. She has acted as counsel before all levels of Court in Alberta and administrative tribunals, including the Alberta Labour Relations Board and Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board. She has also acted as counsel in numerous domestic and international arbitrations.

Susan has broad experience litigating and arbitrating industrial, oil and gas, commercial and institutional construction disputes including for claims involving design, product liability, delay, cost overruns, faulty workmanship and builders' liens.

Susan also focuses on a variety of energy disputes, including involving contractual, royalty, operator and accounting matters. She also maintains a corporate litigation practice, litigating contract and tort-based disputes including in oppression actions, partnership and shareholder disputes and matters involving business valuations.

Susan co-leads BD&P's litigation practice group and is an executive member of the CBA Alberta South Construction Subsection. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, Canadian Bar Association, Calgary Bar Association and Litigation Counsel of America.
