Susan Cooper

Susan has twenty years of experience, advising on business and transactional matters involving the environment. She aids clients in performing due diligence, environmental training, contract negotiation, environmental audits, and resolving regulatory compliance matters. She also serves as defendants’ and plaintiffs’ counsel in environmental litigation matters ranging from complex mass toxic tort cases to leaking underground storage tank cases. Susan represents clients in negotiations and agreements with regulatory agencies, handling such issues as RCRA, brownfields, USTs, dry cleaners, wastewater, and permitting. She has represented companies in CERCLA matters, including internal investigations and negotiated settlements with the EPA and SCDHEC.
