Steven Siros

A Co-Chair of the firm’s Environmental Practice, Steve advises on everything from regulatory noncompliance matters to contaminated property clean-up to transactions involving environmentally challenged sites. He also represents clients facing personal injury and property damage claims arising from exposure or release of hazardous substances with a specific focus on emerging contaminants such as 1,4-dioxane and PFAS. Always current on environmental trends, Steve spots potential issues and crafts creative solutions often even before his clients are aware of the issue.

With 25-plus years as an environmental attorney, Steve understands the laws and regulations and potential health and safety risks posed by hazardous substances. He views problems holistically and with an eye toward the future. Leveraging his regulatory, transactional, industry and litigation experience, Steve swiftly identifies the most critical issues, recommends the course of action best suited to each client’s needs and devises novel solutions to complex environmental problems.

Steve’s clients are in wide-ranging industries, including chemicals, aerospace, shipbuilding, defense, energy, consumer products, food and beverage and cannabis. Steve is a recipient of the Chicago Audubon Society Award for Protection of the Environment, which recognizes those who have helped conserve, preserve and enhance the habitats and open spaces of the greater Chicago region.
