Alex Trepp

Alex Trepp is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate and Hospitality Practice. A skilled litigator, Alex has successfully tried several significant cases before courts and federal agencies, and represented clients on cases of first impression. He regularly advises clients on their most pressing matters and, drawing on his experience through all phases of litigation, positions large and complex cases for favorable settlements. He works with a wide range of clients, across several industries, with a focus on representing large hospitality companies and content owners.

Alex frequently represents clients on matters that implicate important matters of public policy. He was a member of the Jenner & Block team that won significant victories to preserve the DACA program, after the government in 2017 attempted to rescind the program. He has litigated redistricting matters in several states, advancing the fight for fair maps in North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. And he has briefed election law matters before the United States Supreme Court, including on redistricting and campaign finance matters.

Currently, Alex represents a client in a first-of-its kind administrative proceeding. He is also working with several non-profit partners on a challenge to S.B. 1, a law that places several limitations on the right to vote. And he is defending a hotel management in matters pending in Napa County, California.

Alex works closely with the Bridges Foundation From School to Work, which assists youth with disabilities in locating employment after exiting public schools. He is also a committed mentor and advocate for other lawyers, who serves on the firm’s Hiring Committee and leads its DC summer program.
