Simone Ambrogi has acquired a large experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors with specific reference to project financing, PPP deals (Partenariato pubblico-privato) and utilities assisting sponsors, lenders and financial institutions in some of the most relevant deals of the past few years.

Simone regularly deals with a wide range of project finance transactions, assisting leading sponsors and lenders in major holdco financings and acquisitions in the energy sector; he has also acquired a broad expertise in the hospital and infrastructure sectors.

Simone is constantly involved in the structuring of the corporate governance, the financing and project contracts for companies operating in the in house providing regimen and the so-called public-private companies, in this sector he is recognized to be as one of the main reference lawyers for both operators and financiers.

Career

Partner since 2023, Simone has been working in Legance since 2016.

Previously he's worked in Bonelli Erede Pappalardo (2011 - 2015) and Allen&Overy (2009 - 2011).

Publications

Simone Ambrogi is co-author of the following publication: "Project Finance in Italy – general overview and recent trends", The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Project Finance, years 2013, 2014 and 2015 (ICLG), (with others). He also supports Legance’s country partners responsible for the Netherlands area, in the relationship with the local “best friend” law firm, as Houthoff. During 2016, Simone also took part to the expert panels which commented and contributed to the new Italian public contracts code.
