Sidney Elbaz

Sidney is a partner in the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. His strong skills and knowledge in the class action field has earned him recognition from both his clients and fellow members of the class action bar. Sidney has extensive experience defending multijurisdictional and Quebec class actions pertaining to product liability issues, consumer protection matters and allegations of cartel and conspiracy conduct. Sidney has appeared before all levels of the Quebec courts, Federal courts and various specialized tribunals. Sidney regularly advises clients on Quebec consumer protection legislation and other regulatory matters. Sidney also has an extensive background defending product liability claims. Sidney provides counsel in connection with fire and security products, recreational products, home appliances, construction & industrial machinery, farming equipment, motor vehicles, pharmaceutical products & building materials. Sidney also has extensive experience in general commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes and matters pertaining to insolvency and restructuring.
