Shawn Johnson is a partner in Fried Frank’s Antitrust and Competition Department. Recognized for his deep experience and practical approach, Shawn advises clients on all aspects of antitrust law, with particular emphasis on transactional matters such as mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act compliance.
With decades of experience, Shawn guides clients through US and international antitrust review, helping them successfully navigate regulatory challenges in complex transactions. He also counsels clients on both grand jury and civil non-merger investigations, and regularly advocates before the US Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Department of Defense, state attorneys general and international competition authorities.
Shawn works with clients across a wide range of industries, including aerospace, defense, healthcare, information technology, telecommunications, chemicals, metals and natural resources. He is particularly adept at advising government contractors and key industry players, providing strategic guidance to meet his client’s most important business objectives.
