Shariffullah graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the International Islamic University of Malaysia in 2008. The following year, he was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Since commencing practice, he has gained significant experience in industrial relations. His clients range from multinational corporations and government-linked companies to small and medium-sized enterprises.

While his primary areas of practice are industrial relations and employment law, Shariffullah has also defended civil claims arising from employment contracts. He has also played a critical and encompassing role in aiding companies in fruitful mediation. Shariffullah works closely with several government-linked and multi-national companies and is regularly engaged as a trainer for handling employment-related issues. He is a regular speaker at Industrial Relations Law Conferences and authored, co-authored, and contributed to numerous publications on employment law.

Shariffullah was recently acknowledged as “Up and Coming” in the Employment & Industrial Relations practice by Chambers Asia-Pacific 2023. He is also one of the recommended lawyers in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2023 rankings. Shariffullah is one of two partners recognised by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific 2023 as a “Future Star”, in the Labor and Employment category. He is also recognised as a “Notable Practitioner” in the Labour and Employment category by Asialaw Profiles 2023/2024 Ranking.

He has contributed to the Malaysian Chapter of the Chambers Employment 2023 Global Practice Guide.
