Bella was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2010. She started her practice with the dispute resolution department of the firm focusing on banking litigation and high value recovery work before her transition to the firm’s mergers & acquisitions (M&A) practice.
She has worked on a variety of M&A matters, with a focus on real estate transactions. She advises on direct and indirect acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, restructurings and development projects. Her clients include real estate developers and listed corporations.
She also regularly acts for clients ranging from financial institutions to investment funds on cross border and mezzanine financing. Bella also advises on general corporate and commercial law.
Bella was recently acknowledged as “Next Generation Partner” in the field of Real Estate and Construction in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2022 rankings. In the Chambers Asia-Pacific 2022 rankings, Bella was also ranked as “Up and Coming” in the Real Estate practice.

Acted for UEM Sunrise Berhad in numerous joint venture transactions for the development of lands in Kuala Lumpur, most recently for the joint development with the Malay College Old Boys Association.
Acted for Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd in respect of the joint venture with ITOCHU for the development of lands in Kuala Lumpur.
Acted for Fastrack Iskandar Sdn Bhd in their day-to-day operations in relation to the development of the Motorsports City including advising on project management agreements and relevant regulatory approvals.
Acted as the Malaysian counsel for Apollo Management VIII, LP in their proposed acquisition with Platform Specialty Products Corporation for the entire equity interests of OM group, Inc.
Acted for Messer Group GmbH and Smart-Gas Pte. Ltd in their acquisition of an industrial gas manufacturer and distributor in Malaysia including advising on relevant licenses and approval required for the transaction.
