Shailaja Lall

Shailaja Lall, is a Partner at the Firm, heads the Insurance & Reinsurance practice.

She has worked extensively in the field of insurance law for over 20 years and has advised on a variety of complex legal issues. Her experience includes advising insurers, reinsurers and other stakeholders on a full range of transactional and regulatory matters, including share acquisitions, joint ventures, reinsurance, distribution agreements, insuretech partnerships, bancassurance arrangements and group re-organisations.

Shailaja also advices extensively on key regulatory developments impacting the sector, including PE investment, licensing of insurance intermediaries, corporate agency arrangements, group insurance arrangements and sale of insurance through e-commerce platforms. She works with many of the marqee and most-respected companies throughout the insurance sector. She also regularly advices foreign reinsurance companies in relation to registration requirements in India and applicable regulatory compliances.
