Sebastián Sáenz de Santa María joined Uría Menéndez in 1997 and he is a partner of the firm since 2007. In 2004, he was seconded to the U.S. firm Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett's New York office as an international associate.

Sebastián focuses his practice on banking and finance. He has a broad experience of 20 years advising Spanish and foreign banks and companies in corporate and structured financings, project finance, LBO’s and refinancing deals. Likewise, he is specialized in the design and negotiation of debt restructuring.

His practice includes multijurisdictional deals and LMA documentation.

He has worked in some of the most important, complex and innovative transactions in Spain.
