Afonso Choon joined the Lisbon office of Uría Menéndez - Proença de Carvalho in 2012 as a trainee, and has been a senior associate of the firm’s Public Law department since 2021.

From February to July of 2018, Afonso was seconded to Uría Menéndez in Madrid.

Afonso Choon specialises in public law, including public contracts and public law litigation. He provides assistance to public and private entities in administrative procedures (e.g. public procurement, licensing and regulation), in public law proceedings and on infrastructure, energy and natural resources transactions.
