Sebastián Delpiano Torrealba

Sebastián leads the Capital Markets, Asset Management, Banking and Finance, and Corporate and M&A practices. His work focuses particularly on the structuring of financial instruments and derivatives, advising investors, debt and equity offerings, alternative assets and private debt, initial public offerings (IPOs), tender offers, and advising and defending regulated entities before the Chilean Financial Market Commission (CMF).

He was a founding partner of HD Legal from 2014 to 2026. Previously, he served as Legal Deputy Manager at Banchile Inversiones and worked as an attorney at several of Chile’s leading law firms.

Since 2018, he has held accreditation from the CAMV. He is also a member of the Legal Committee of the Chilean Association of Investment Fund Managers (ACAFI). He has taught at Universidad Diego Portales and currently lectures at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez on subjects within his areas of expertise.

He holds a law degree from Universidad de los Andes, obtained in 2004, and a Master’s Degree in Tax Management and Leadership from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, obtained in 2008.
